Dr Sue-Anne Toh is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist with nearly 20 years of experience in internal medicine, diabetes, and metabolic health. Trained in Cambridge and the University of Pennsylvania, she specializes in diabetes, lipid disorders, and cardiovascular risk management. Dr Toh is also a clinician-scientist and educator with a strong focus on holistic, patient-centered care.

Biography

Dr. Toh possesses over two decades of clinical experience in internal medicine, diabetes, and metabolism. Her medical degree comes from the University of Cambridge, UK, with specialist training completed at the University of Pennsylvania, USA. Post-graduate training included positions at Addenbrooke's Hospital (Cambridge University), Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital (both Harvard-affiliated), and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania before returning to Singapore's National University Hospital as an Attending Physician Endocrinologist and Instructor of Medicine.

Her contributions shape national healthcare policy through guideline development for lipid management and telehealth implementation. As a mentor to medical students, doctors, and research scientists, she frequently speaks at conferences and maintains active engagement with current medical knowledge and practices.

As a Preventive Medicine specialist, Dr. Kyle Tan is dedicated to the prevention and management of chronic diseases. He combines over a decade of direct clinical experience with a keen interest in technology to provide a proactive and personalized approach to your health. His goal is to move beyond standard care by integrating evidence-based health coaching, nutrition, and fitness advice to help you achieve long-term wellness.

Clinical Expertise & Leadership

A Mark of Distinction in Medical Training: During his postgraduate specialization in Preventive Medicine with the National University Health System (NUHS), Dr. Tan was appointed Chief Resident of the residency program. This distinguished role is entrusted to physicians who demonstrate strong leadership and clinical capabilities.

Architect of Health Programs: He has applied his specialist expertise to the design and implementation of multiple large-scale preventive health initiatives, including chronic disease screening and management programs that have been deployed at regional and national levels.

Broad Clinical Foundation: His specialization is built upon a comprehensive clinical foundation, with practice in the medical, surgical, and pediatric departments at the National University Hospital as well as in community-based polyclinics.

Informing Care Through National Health Leadership

Dr. Tan's clinical practice is further informed by his experience shaping health programs and policy on a national level. He was a member of the core team in the Ministry of Health's Ageing Planning Office that developed a S$3 billion national Action Plan for Successful Ageing. For this work, he was a recipient of the Permanent Secretary for Health Award. This background gives him a unique perspective on creating effective, real-world health strategies for his patients.

Academic and Research Contributions

Dr. Tan continues to contribute to the future of healthcare as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS. He also enjoys mentoring younger generations of preventive medicine residents on how public health concepts are translated into concrete health programs.
